EVERYTHING IS AN EXPERIMENT

In rhythm with the subjects of soft fascination, Ikebana, and the Japanese ritual of tome ishi, Item: Enso is an outlet for exploratory methods where metal bends to reach the light like a flower would. An autodidactic practice, every object is made entirely by hand by interior designers Yuria Kailich and Joel Harding in New York.

Shelter: Enso is a foray into bringing the enso philosophy into residential design.

Both formally-trained interior graduates, Yuria and Joel have held previous roles at Gachot Studio, Ashe Leandro, Colin King, LP Creative and Workshop ADP. Currently, they offer design services reflective of enso values— zen, togetherness, imperfection found in all things, enlightenment, and the celebration of patina.
